The Royal Wedding has been touted as the “biggest show on earth”

All eyes were on Prince William and Kate Middleton this morning as the future King and Queen of England exchanged vows at Westminster Abbey. But a few guests stole the couple’s spotlight even if only for a moment.

The Royal Wedding has been touted as the “biggest fashion show on earth,” and from the looks of it, every attendee took their invite as a chance to channel their inner fashionista. While Middleton stunned in a dress by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, gorgeous hats of all shapes and sizes sat perched on heads as far as the eye could see.

With a gushing husband, David Beckham at her side, Victoria Beckham wore one of her own designs, altering it to accommodate her growing baby bump and matched the charcoal frock with a pillbox hat by designer, Philip Treacy.

Beckham wasn’t the only guest to accessorize her outfit with a hat by the London milliner.

Best known for his ready to wear hats and couture handbags, Treacy was the designer of choice for fabulous hats. Princesses Beatrice, 22, and Eugenie, 21, (cousins to Prince William and Prince Harry and daughters of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson) also wore creations by Treacy.
