Brown makes you feel comfortable, warm, and cozy. It is a color of the wood, earth, and stone & brings character to the location. Brown also stimulates appetite. Browns bring a rustic, yet elegant touch to any event. This colour scheme is ideal for late summer/autumn weddings but can also work really well in late winter / early spring.

Brown Wedding Dresses

Gone are the days where brides are expected to wear dresses of white when they marry. If you’re having a fall wedding, consider a wedding dress in brown, such as a chocolate shade. You’ll certainly look dazzling and elegant in a stand out dress at your fall wedding.

Brown Themed Wedding – Bouquets

Wedding Cakes for your reception with hint of brown

Bridesmaids & Groomsmen in Brown

How to incorporate brown into your reception

There are so many different ways to incorporate brown into your wedding reception theme. You can include various shades of flower throughout the wedding reception. Coordinate the linens, table …napkins and chair covers to finish off the brown theme. Cover the tables in chocolate-colored linens and coordinate the table napkins. Cover the banquet chairs with chocolate chair covers. To finish the tables off, place boxes of chocolate truffles on each table as guest favors. A table setting should leave a lasting impression on your guests.

While red is synonymous with Valentine’s Day using in a wedding anytime of the year is a great way to infuse a bit of romance.

Red is associated with passion, love, beauty.

Red and white can also be warm and striking, as well as elegant

Red Wedding Dresses are very famous in America and Asian Countries.

In China, red is the most popular color for bridal wear, it symbolizes happiness, auspiciousness and luck, similar to India, who wear the red wedding saris.

The Wedding Bouquet

Flowers are by definition romantic, so every bride wants the perfect myriad of colors to accent her dress and brighten the event center hosting the reception.

While roses are the classic, roses in February are extremely expensive. Other red flowers to consider include tulips, gerbera, cala lilies and freesia.

Red and white are the perfect solution for the couple that would like to make a sophisticated and glamorous impression upon their guests.

The Wedding Dress

On Valentine’s Day, an old-fashioned look is always romantic to achieve this consider wearing a classic style dress and tuxedo for the groom. For inspiration look to old movies, including Funny Face and legendary weddings including Grace Kelly’s and Jackie Kennedy’s.

A second option is to go for a white dress with red accents. Wear your hair pulled back with red roses pinned into your chignon. Wrap a vibrant red shawl around your arms, and carry an overflowing bouquet of more red roses. Have your bridesmaids wear the same dress in varying shades of red, and have groomsmen wear red ties with different red boutonnières.

The third option is to wear a red dress. If your dress is too bright, you can tone it down with softer colors like ivory and cream as off white shades always look fantastic with red. Adding bright white accents may be too much contrast as you’ll want to shine, but not blast everyone with shocking colors .

Wedding Cake

Wedding cakes today have marzipan icing that can be colored to your exact specifications. But you don’t have to stop there. Red velvet cake tastes divine and looks beautiful on plates. A popular new style of wedding desserts is having a candy table or cupcakes. With either a candy table or cupcakes you can have color duos, trios or an entire theme of spicy, red chili pepper candies and sweets.

Bridesmaids Dresses

If the bride is wearing a red dress or with red accents the bridesmaids have lots of dress color accents including the Pippa Middleton white dress. On the other hand, if the bride is wearing a white dress different shades of red will make the bridesmaids stand out from one another.

How to incorporate red in your table setting…
